We can offer 15 or 30 free hours per week for eligible families and are open for 50 hours per week, during term times, should you need us. We offer the highest standards of care and education led by an experienced, qualified teacher along with skilled teaching assistants.

We offer very flexible options to work around your and your child’s needs. Your child can stay from 9 o’clock until 3 or take advantage of our Dragons’ Den ‘wrap around’ provision, opening from 07:30 until 17:30. Perhaps you only need mornings? Do you only need one day a week? We are happy to work around you!

If we ever want to join together with the reception children in their lovely classroom next door, we go through the MAGIC DOOR designed by Mrs Statham.

Mrs Statham wanted a way for the nursery and reception children to share both settings and she took inspiration from her favourite childhood author ~ Enid Blyton. We now have our very own Faraway Tree. Come and see us to enrol your little one in our very special and magical nursery. See you soon!

Who can join our Littlest Dragons?

Children are welcome to join our Nursery from the day of their 3rd birthday, with funded provision available from the term after their third birthday – please note that to qualify for a funded place starting in the summer term, your child’s birthday must be on or before 31st March.

Our Learning Environments

We aim to provide a home from home environment where your child can be free to develop as an individual in a supportive and caring environment. We have taken inspiration from the philosophies of Reggio Emilia and Elizabeth Jarman to create our environment; this is reflected in our neutral décor, natural materials, and plants in the classroom. This enables our children to learn in a calm, effective learning environment that is communication friendly.

We have access to an amazing, large outdoor area, with a large selection of resources available for the children to access depending on their interests, providing free flow access where the children are free to climb, balance and explore. We also hold Woodland Adventure sessions weekly in the woodland area at the bottom of the school field, providing additional super physical development opportunities. Every area of our Curriculum is taught in the Woodland Area, and it is often where little friendships are forged.

Tax-Free Childcare

This scheme is effectively a discounted childcare savings scheme for working families where you save and then pay for childcare with a 25% top-up from the government.

Before you decide if Tax-Free Childcare might work for you, you should check what other help you are entitled to. For example you can’t use this scheme and also claim Tax Credits or Universal Credit; opening a Tax-Free Childcare account would mean you stop getting paid your all of your benefits if you are in receipt of either of these.

You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 15 or 30 hours free childcare, if you’re eligible for both.
